The City of Chandler Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as the IT Infrastructure Analyst. This position provides implementation maintenance and support for enterprise server and storage systems; and, ensures the security integrity of services and data. This is a regular full-time, exempt position with benefits. The anticipated work schedule for this position is a Monday–Friday, on-site; on-call and weekends as needed.

Who we are
The City of Chandler Police Department, consisting of 348 sworn officers and 192 civilians, serves a growing population of approximately 290,000 residents. The organization is divided into three main divisions, one bureau, and many sections/units. The Patrol Operations Division three precincts, 1) Main Station - Downtown & North Chandler, 2) Desert Breeze - West Chandler, and 3) Chandler Heights - South Chandler, work in concert with the Criminal Investigations Bureau, Operational Support Bureau, and Professional Services Division to meet the needs of the community. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; and, when assigned to the Police Department IT Section, the successful candidate must be able to do the following:
- Must be able to install, configure, monitor, maintain, and administrate troubleshoot and/or decommission; and, physical servers virtual servers and virtual server infrastructure storage infrastructure windows infrastructure; Linux support operating system support, cloud infrastructure, automation or orchestration with scripted processes network or operation security or traffic management backup restorations
- Provides a variety of administrative activities and support of operations
- Participates in assigned projects

Minimum qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or in a related field of study; and
- Must have at least 3-years of experience in the server, backup and network administration and related experience in a mixed environment; and
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
- Experience administering and supporting hybrid environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune), Microsoft Entra ID (identity management, Conditional Access, MFA), Windows Server, and Linux systems administration.
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms (including VMware), storage systems, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and automation using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, cloud architecture, monitoring tools, and security best practices within a regulated or security-focused environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Security+) and experience supporting public sector or law enforcement IT environments are highly desirable.
Supervision
Work is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position does not supervise others.

This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits, with a Monday–Friday, on-site; on-call and weekends as needed. This opportunity is only open to current City of Chandler employees only. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 6 months should another position become available.
